Eichenwalde, Kr. Naugard, Pomerania

Eichenwalde is about 3 miles NNE of Massow. At the time of the 1871 census, this village was known as Faulenbenz and it had a total population of 298; 114 residents living in the village and another 184 living on the Gutsbezirk (estate domain). The population of the village was about the same in 1905 (110) but the number of people living on the estate had increased to 233.

Johann Friedrich Wilhelm "Fritz" Maass and his wife, Charlotte Caroline (nee Knaspe), lived here in the 1900’s.
